Upscale Dining For The Entire Family
One of the things New York is known for is its great food. You may not thing about taking your children to the fine dining restaurants, but there are some that welcome children. Danny Meyer, owner or Eleven Madison Park also offers classes for children on table manners and etiquette.
You may want to reconsider dining at an upscale restaurant with your children if they are younger and rambunctious. But if they are able to sit somewhat quietly during the meal it may be a good learning experience for them.
Other restaurants that welcome children are LeBerndin, Union Square Cafe, Fred’s at Barneys, Vermilion, Cafe Boulud, Gramercy Tavern and L’Alelin De Joel Robuchon. If you are dining with children and they cannot find something on the menu they want, some restaurants may be willing to make a grilled cheese sandwich or other item that is not on the menu. Most of these establishments do have highchairs available and take steps to make children feel comfortable.
It may be beneficial to call the restaurant before you make plans to see how they feel about children dining at their restaurant. You may get looks from some diners if you dine with your children, but in most cases they will be welcomed.Still bored? Click to continue: 17 Secrets To Building Danny Meyer’s Restaurant Empire
